e2save refurbished phones
e2save are a division of the massive Dixons Carphone PLC and are one of the major suppliers of refurbished mobile phones online.
To quote their website –
“All e2save’s refurbished phones are Grade-A rated”. The handsets are “good as new” and they have the “most stringent grading process in the market. [They] don’t offer handsets to consumers that are graded any lower”.
All refurbished Apple products they receive are from Apple directly.
Refurbished handsets are covered by the standard e2save 12 month warranty (like new phones).
Refurb handsets will usually be sent out in a plain white factory box and will contain a wall charger and USB cable. Headphones will not be supplied due to hygiene reasons.
Mobiles.co.uk refurbished phones
Mobiles.co.uk are also part of the Carphone Warehouse group and are a large volume supplier of refurbished mobiles.
Their website states –
“Refurbished phones have been returned to us by customers who bought them and then returned them under our 14-day money back guarantee. All these phones are fully inspected, tested and repackaged by our qualified engineers. They all come with a 12-month Carphone Warehouse warranty.”
The phone will likely come in a generic unbranded box with essential accessories only.
O2 refurbished phones
O2 state on their website that –
“A reconditioned handset is a used handset that has been restored to its original state. If any parts were faulty or damaged, we have repaired or replaced them prior to the handsets being fully tested and inspected.”
All handsets are packaged with a USB charger and battery. Additional accessories may be supplied depending on availability.
Additionally they state that “Sometimes our reconditioned handsets will come with a charger or a USB cable, but usually no software, data cables or other accessories are included.”
Mobile Phones Direct refurbished phones
Mobile Phones Direct refurbished handsets are models that have been returned within the 14 day cooling off period.
Specifically quoted from their website –
“Refurbished handsets are units that have been previously purchased by customers and returned to us under our 14 Day Customer Service Guarantee. These handsets have only been used for a maximum of 14 days”.
“They’re always in fantastic condition and in most cases 100% as new.”
All refurbished handsets are sent out with a battery and charger with additional accessories such as headphones often supplied.

EE refurbished phones
The EE range of refurbished phones are known as the Good As New range and according to the EE website they currently state the following –
“All new customers will be able to save at least £5 a month on selected EE plans when they purchase one of our Good As New devices.”
“We only re-sell phones and tablets that have been returned to us within 14 days.”
“All products come with the essential extras you’d expect out of the box, including charger, battery and back cover.”
